A model for inclusive and scalable broadband

The joint solution tackled a critical connectivity challenge in one of America’s most underserved cities. Leveraging InCoax’s MoCA Access™ 2.5 technology and Tarana’s next-generation fixed wireless access (ngFWA), DigitalC delivered high-speed broadband to 502 apartments across 47 MDUs in just 45 working days — a feat made possible by reusing existing coaxial infrastructure. This efficient approach helped circumvent the high cost and long lead times of traditional fiber rollouts while offering speeds starting at 100 Mbps for only $18/month, with the option to scale up to symmetrical gigabit services — all without requiring construction inside the buildings.

Accelerating digital inclusion

The need was pressing: as of 2023, over 32% of Cleveland households lacked a wireline broadband connection. DigitalC, using the InCoax and Tarana technologies, has made a measurable impact on bridging the digital divide. By enhancing residents’ access to education, healthcare, employment, and entertainment, this project reflects the very purpose of broadband as an essential utility.

“InCoax’s MoCA Access™ 2.5 is a cost-effective complement to both fixed wireless and fiber that reduces installation time and improves take-up rate, promoting digital inclusion and internet access for all.”
