Fibernet Finland reaches milestone of more than 150 apartment buildings contracted with InCoax Fiber Access Extension

InCoax Networks AB (publ) announces that Fibernet Finland has reached a milestone of more than 150 apartment buildings contracted with InCoax Fiber Access Extension technology. The milestone supports Fibernet’s rollout of high-speed broadband services to apartment buildings through a fast, cost-efficient and non-intrusive installation model.

The majority of the installations use the InCoax D2501, which is well suited for smaller apartment buildings. By using the existing coaxial infrastructure inside the building, Fibernet extends its fiber access network to individual apartments and offers symmetrical internet services up to 1 Gbps.

“Fibernet is a strong example of how fiber operators can accelerate broadband deployment in apartment buildings by combining fiber rollout with InCoax Fiber Access Extension. More than 150 contracted MDU buildings in Finland confirm the relevance of our solution for operators that want to reach residents quickly, while avoiding the cost and disruption often associated with new in-building cabling,” says Helge Tiainen, Business Development Director of InCoax Networks.

Using InCoax technology allows us to offer fiber-based broadband services to apartment buildings in a practical and scalable way. The non-intrusive installation model is appreciated by housing companies and residents, and it helps us bring reliable high-speed services to more buildings with minimum lead time,” says Joachim Johansson, CEO at Fibernet Finland.
