InCoax introduces MoCA Access 2.5 products at ANGA

At ANGA Com (Cologne, May 30 to June 1) InCoax Networks introduces products developed for MoCA Access 2.5, the latest technology in broadband access over coaxial networks.

May 29, 2017 – InCoax Networks, a leading provider of equipment for broadband access over in-building coaxial networks, introduces a range of MoCA AccessTM 2.5 products at ANGA Com. MoCA Access 2.5 is a new Multi-Gigabit access technology which can provide symmetrical gigabit services to the subscriber. At the exhibition, InCoax will demonstrate speed performance of the MoCA Access 2.5.

MoCA Access is an in-building point-to-multipoint access technology serving up to 63 modems (clients). It is designed to co-exist with legacy services such as TV and DOCSIS. The operating frequency range is 400MHz – 1675MHz. It is designed to have low latency – less than 5ms. Throughput is up to 2.5 Gbps downstream and 2 Gbps upstream.

As a fiber extension technology, MoCA Access is well suited for operators and ISPs that are installing fiber-to-the-basement (FTTB) or fiber deep into the network, and who want to use the existing coax for connection to each apartment or unit. MoCA Access also appeals to commercial integrators in market segments such as hotels, restaurants, offices, and any other buildings wired with coax.

InCoax will introduce two new head-end products in Hall 7, booth G61: CLC2524 with an accumulated throughput capacity of 10 Gbps and CLC2522 with an accumulated throughput capacity of 5 Gbps.
