The MoCA Access\u2122-based solution enables cable and service providers to deliver multi-gigabit broadband services over existing coaxial cables in multi-dwelling units (MDUs) and buildings that are too difficult to serve with fiber. The solution will be marketed through Nokia&#8217;s global sales and distribution network.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Scheduled trial deliveries will begin in the second half of 2024 and are expected to increase gradually thereafter. The total value of the deal is difficult to estimate but is expected to positively impact InCoax&#8217;s sales growth over time. The agreement is exclusive, with an initial term of 5 years and annual renewals thereafter.<\/strong><\/p><p><strong>Solution highlights:<\/strong><\/p><ul><li><strong>Ideal solution for MDUs<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>InCoax\u2019s technology enables broadband deployment, particularly in older MDUs where traditional fiber installations are economically or practically difficult, thus complementing Nokia\u2019s Gigabit Connect portfolio.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Alternative to fiber with fiber-like performance<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>With InCoax\u2019s technology, Nokia offers operators an alternative to fiber with fiber-like performance over in-building coax, enabling symmetric broadband services (equal time for upload and download) with multigigabit speed and low latency (network delay).<\/p><ul><li><strong>Rapid return on investment and larger subscriber base<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>The speed and ease with which InCoax\u2019s technology can be implemented provides operators with accelerated subscriber base growth and a faster return on investments.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Easy network and service management<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>InCoax\u2019s technology seamlessly integrates with Nokia\u2019s PON OLT portfolio and Nokia\u2019s Altiplano<sup>TM<\/sup> Access Control software platform, simplifying network and subscriber service management over fiber, coaxial, and copper cable as a single pane of glass.<\/p><ul><li><strong>Operational implementation and customer integration<\/strong><\/li><\/ul><p>Following the signing of the original Memorandum of Understanding, the parties have collaborated extensively on development, feature integration, and solution testing. Nokia\u2019s global support services organization will engage to provide customer solution support in coordination with InCoax.<\/p><p>&#8222;<em>With InCoax&#8217;s solution, Nokia will be able to offer operators comprehensive and integrated fiber network solutions for multi-gigabit broadband that also include multi-dwelling units where traditional fiber installations are difficult to implement due to technical, legal, and economic constraints. For an operator, this represents great value as it allows for quicker revenue generation across a larger subscriber base.
